Welcome to the Gaskell Memorial Hall, Silverdale, Lancashire.
The Gaskell Hall was opened in 1931 and is named after Elizabeth Gaskell, the novelist who regularly stayed in the village.
We have two main rooms that can be booked for a variety of activities and is used regularly by village and other groups for many events such as, yoga, pilates, Saturday coffee mornings, Village Players productions, line-dancing, country-dancing, badminton, W.I, private parties, lectures, concerts, public meetings etc.
Main Hall - This can be used for Coffee Mornings, Parties, Dances, Community Cinema, Play productions and any other private functions you may wish to hold, the wooden floor is perfect for dancing! Seating and tables for up to 160, standing 200. Music system with Bluetooth, USB and Audio Jack connections,also with radio mic and hand held mic.
New to the hall is a ceiling wash lighting system to give special effects for your event.
Rigby Kitchen is located in the Main Hall with Instanta, Kettles, Mircowave, Fridge. Cultery, plates, beer pump and glasses can be hired for only a security deposit. White Table linen also available.
Green Room - This can be used for conferences, meetings and smaller private functions. Seating for up to 40. Kitchen facilities include a Fridge, Mircowave, Kettle, Instanta and Oven.
The Gaskell Hall, Silverdale has disabled accessible toilet facilities with a wheel chair lift between the two floors.

Red and White Checkered Tablecloths

Full set of cutlery for approx 80 people.
Beer pump and glass hire.
